s 17C Jurisdiction of court
17C.—(1) Despite the Criminal Procedure Code 2010*, a District Court has jurisdiction to try any offence under this Act and has power to impose the full punishment for any such offence.[*Updated to be consistent with the 2020 Revised Edition]
(2) Where an offence under section 17E or 17F is committed by a person outside Singapore, the person may be dealt with in respect of that offence as if it had been committed in Singapore.[Act 31 of 2019 wef 01/11/2022]
