Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) Act 1998 s 21

s 21 Power of arrest

21. Any officer of the Authority or any police officer may arrest without warrant any person who has committed or whom he or she reasonably believes to have committed an offence under this Part and bring the person before a District Court or a Magistrate’s Court (as the case may be) to be dealt with according to law.
