Merchant Shipping (Civil Liability and Compensation for Oil Pollution) Act 1998 s 35

s 35 Court for trial of offences

35. Any offence under this Act or any regulations made under this Act may be tried by a District Court or a Magistrate’s Court and such Court, despite the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 and any other written law, has jurisdiction to impose the maximum penalty provided for by this Act or the regulations.
