s 39 Account restriction (online service) direction — content
39.—(1) An account restriction (online service) direction is a direction requiring the recipient to do one or more of the following by the specified time:(a) disallow or restrict interaction between any relevant account on the relevant service and end‑users in Singapore —(i) for a specified period; or (ii) indefinitely; (b) disable any relevant Singapore account on the relevant service —(i) for a specified period; or (ii) indefinitely. (2) Where the recipient mentioned in subsection (1) is a prescribed online service provider, an account restriction (online service) direction imposing a requirement under subsection (1)(a) may also require the recipient to disallow or restrict interaction —(a) for a specified period; or (b) indefinitely, between end‑users in Singapore and any account that the recipient knows or ought reasonably to know was created by the owner of the relevant account after the direction had been given. (3) Where the recipient mentioned in subsection (1) is a prescribed online service provider, an account restriction (online service) direction imposing a requirement under subsection (1)(b) may also require the recipient to disable any Singapore account —(a) for a specified period; or (b) indefinitely, that the recipient knows or ought reasonably to know was created by the owner of the relevant Singapore account after the direction had been given. (4) Any requirement to disallow or restrict interaction or to disable an account, mentioned in subsection (2) or (3) respectively, imposed on the recipient, may apply to the recipient for a specified period not exceeding 2 years after the date the direction is given. (5) In this section, “specified” means specified in the account restriction (online service) direction.
