s 19 Prohibition of sale to persons below 18 years
19.—(1) No poison shall be sold to any person below 18 years of age.
(2) Any person contravening this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.[Act 9 of 2026 wef 01/05/2026]
(3) It shall be a sufficient defence to any charge under subsection (2) that the person charged had reasonable cause to believe that the person to whom the sale was made was above the age of 18 years.
