s 46 Notice of accident to be given
46.—(1) Whenever an accident occurs upon a railway —(a)
the station master nearest to the place at which the accident occurs shall without unnecessary delay give notice of the accident in writing or by any form of telecommunication to the officer in charge of the nearest police station; and
(b)
the railway administration shall without unnecessary delay send written notice of the accident to the Minister.
(2) The notice shall contain a brief statement of the nature of the accident and of the injuries or damage caused.
