s 87 Penalty for wilful act or omission endangering passenger
87. Any person who wilfully does any act, or wilfully omits to do what he is legally bound to do, intending by such act or omission to cause, or knowing that he is thereby likely to cause, the safety of any person travelling or being upon a railway to be endangered, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $200 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years or to both.[Act 21 of 2025 wef 17/08/2026]
