s 44 Powers of arrest
44.—(1) Any police officer or any authorised officer may without a warrant arrest any person who has committed an offence under this Act or any regulations made under this Act. (2) Where a person is arrested and not released, he or she must without unreasonable delay and in any case within 24 hours (excluding the time of any necessary journey) be produced before a Magistrate. (3) In any case relating to the commission of an offence under this Act or any regulations made under this Act, an authorised officer has all the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 in relation to an investigation into an arrestable offence.
