s 199 Emergency powers

199. Where the public safety or the defence of Singapore so require, it is lawful for any serviceman acting on the authority of the Armed Forces Council —(a) to enter, inspect, occupy, take possession of, evacuate, use, transfer, confiscate, repair or destroy any private or public property; and (b) to order any person to do any work or render any service.
