s 99 Certificate relating to controlled drug, etc.
99.—(1) A certificate purporting —(a) to be signed by —(i) an analyst employed by the Health Sciences Authority or the Home Team Science and Technology Agency;[Act 12 of 2023 wef 01/06/2024] (ii) a person appointed under section 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973;[Act 5 of 2025 wef 09/03/2025] (iia) a person appointed under section 28A(a)(ii) of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993;[Act 9 of 2026 wef 01/05/2026] (iii) a Singapore Armed Forces pharmacist or chemist; or (iv) such other person as the Minister may appoint; and[Act 5 of 2025 wef 09/03/2025] (b) to relate to a controlled drug, controlled substance, psychoactive substance or specified psychoactive substance,[Act 9 of 2026 wef 01/05/2026] is to be admitted in evidence in any proceedings under this Act for an offence under section 34, or under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973 or the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993, on the production of the certificate by the prosecution without proof of signature and, until the contrary is proved, is proof of all matters contained in the certificate.
