s 7 Saving provision relating to change of name
7.—(1) As from the date of publication in the Gazette of the Society of Saint Maur Incorporation (Amendment) Act 2024, any reference in any written law or document to the Corporation by the name “The Lady Superior of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus in Penang” is to be read as a reference to the Corporation by the name “The Lady Superior of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus”. (2) The change of name of the Corporation from “The Lady Superior of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus in Penang” to “The Lady Superior of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus” does not affect the identity of the Corporation or any rights or obligations of the Corporation or render defective any legal proceedings by or against the Corporation, and any legal proceedings that might have been continued or commenced by or against it by its former name may be continued or commenced by or against it by its new name.[Act 7 of 2024 wef 25/03/2024]
