s 4 Administration of Act

4.—(1) The Minister may in writing appoint a public officer to be the Commissioner for Silver Support. (2) The Minister may in writing —(a) appoint any public officer, or any employee of a public authority, to be a Deputy Commissioner for Silver Support; and (b) appoint any public officer, or any employee of a public authority, to be an Assistant Commissioner for Silver Support. (3) The Commissioner for Silver Support is responsible for the administration of this Act. (4) Subject to the directions of the Commissioner for Silver Support, every Deputy Commissioner for Silver Support and every Assistant Commissioner for Silver Support may perform the functions and exercise the powers of the Commissioner for Silver Support.
