(1) In paragraph (i) of the proviso to section 25(1) of the Housing (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1968, for the words “three hundred and seventy five million pounds or such greater sum, not exceeding five hundred million pounds ” there shall be substituted the words “ six hundred million pounds or such greater sum, not exceeding seven hundred and fifty million pounds ”.
(2) It is hereby declared that section 25(1) of the said Act of 1968 has effect with the inclusion after paragraph (5) of the following paragraph— “* (bb) enabling or assisting the Association to carry out such other works in connection with housing accommodation provided or improved by them as the Secretary of State may with the agreement of the Treasury approve; ”; and has had such effect at all times since the coming into force of section 1(1) of the Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 1970 notwithstanding the repeal of that Act by section 1(2) of the Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 1976.
(3) The said Act of 1976 is repealed.
