(1) In the Schedule to the Census Act 1920 (matters in respect of which particulars may be required), after paragraph 5 there shall be insertedβ
(5A) Religion.
(2) In section 8 of that Act (penalties), after subsection (1) there shall be insertedβ
(1A) But no person shall be liable to a penalty under subsection (1) for refusing or neglecting to state any particulars in respect of religion.
