The Inner Urban Areas (Designated Districts) (England and Wales) (No. 2) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/1486)
The Inner Urban Areas Act 1978 gives additional powers to designated district authorities. This Order specifies the district of Wolverhampton as a designated district for the purposes of the Act. The Wolverhampton District Council and the West Midlands County Council are both designated district authorities.

This order shall come into operation on 13th November 1978 and may be cited as the Inner Urban Areas (Designated Districts) (England and Wales) (No. 2) Order 1978.
The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The district of Wolverhampton is hereby specified as a designated district for the purposes of the Inner Urban Areas Act 1978.
