(1) This Order may be cited as the Yorkshire Water Authority (Studforth Boreholes) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 14th July 1987.
(2) This Order shall be included among the enactments which may be cited together as the Yorkshire Water Authority Orders 1974 to 1987.

In this Orderβ
βthe Authorityβ means the Yorkshire Water Authority;
βthe deposited planβ means the plan prepared in duplicate, signed by an Under Secretary in the Department of the Environment and marked βPlan referred to in the Yorkshire Water Authority (Studforth Boreholes) Order 1987β, one duplicate of which is deposited and available for inspection at the principal office of the Authority and the other at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment;
βthe Third Scheduleβ means the Third Schedule to the Water Act 1945;
βthe undertakingβ means the water undertaking of the Authority as for the time being authorised by any enactment.
For the purposes of this Order, the provisions of the Third Schedule which are specified in column (1) of Schedule 1 to this Order shall, subject to the modifications set out in column (2) of that Schedule, apply to the undertaking and are hereby incorporated with this Order.
The Authority mayβ
(a) continue and maintain the existing borehole on and under the land owned by them described in Schedule 2 to this Order;
(b) construct and maintain an additional borehole on and under that land;
(c) construct and maintain on and under that land (in addition to the works authorised by section 4 of the Third Schedule as applied to the undertaking by this Order) all such pumping stations, wells, boreholes, adits and headings as may be necessary or expedient for augmenting or improving the supply of water obtained by means of the said boreholes.
The works authorised by this Order shall for all purposes form part of the undertaking.
