Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 31st December 2000.

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 9 of the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) Regulations 1991

Regulation 9 (persons in certain accommodation other than hospitals) of the Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) Regulations 1991 shall be amended as follows—

(a) in sub-paragraph (2)(b)(i)—

(i) after “Children Act 1989” there shall be inserted “or section 93(4)(a)(ii) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 ”; and

(ii) there shall be omitted the words from “to whom” to the end;

(b) in sub-paragraph (2)(b)(ii) for the words “section 12 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968” there shall be substituted the words “section 93(4)(a)(iii) of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 (disability)”.
