This Order may be cited as the Contracting Out (Functions in relation to the Management of Crown Lands) Order 2003 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

The Contracting Out (Functions in relation to the Management of Crown Lands) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/1908)
This Order enables the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to authorise another person (or that personβs employees) to perform those management functions, in relation to Hampton Court Gardens, Green and Road, and Hampton Court Park and Kensington Gardens which are properties owned by the Sovereign in right of the Crown, and which are vested in the Secretary of State by section 22 of the Crown Lands Act 1851.

The functions now vested in the Secretary of State under section 22 of the Crown Lands Act 1851 in relation to Hampton Court Gardens, Green, and Road and Hampton Court Park and Kensington Gardens may be exercised by, or by employees of, such person (if any) as may be authorised in that behalf by the Secretary of State.
