Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 31st December 2008.

Section 2 Amendments to the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) Regulations 1992

The Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) Regulations 1992 are amended as follows in relation to financial years beginning on or after 1st April 2009.

Section 3 Rules for the calculation of non-domestic rating contributions

In Schedule 1—

(a) for paragraph 1(4) substitute—

(4) A special authority’s non-domestic rating contribution for the financial year beginning on 1st April 2009 shall be the amount calculated under sub-paragraph (2) above less £9.8 million.

(b) in paragraph 4(4), for “2008 is £83,606,000” substitute “2009 is £84,442,000”; and

(c) for Part II substitute—
