The Education (Recognised Bodies) (England) Order 2010 (S.I. 2010/2618)

This Order lists all those bodies which appear to the Secretary of State to be recognised bodies within section 214(2)(a) or (b) of the Education Reform Act 1988. Such bodies are either:universities, colleges or other bodies authorised by Royal Charter or by or under Act of Parliament to grant degrees; orbodies which are for the time being permitted by any body falling within paragraph (a) to act on its behalf in the granting of degrees.

(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (Recognised Bodies) (England) Order 2010 and comes into force on 30th November 2010. (2) This Order only applies in relation to England . (3) The following Orders are revoked–– (a) the Education (Recognised Bodies) (England) Order 2007 ; and (b) the Education (Recognised Bodies) (England) (Amendment) Order 2008 .
