Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Contracting Out (Local Authorities Social Services Functions) (England) (Amendment) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 13th December 2012.

Section 2 Amendment to the Contracting Out (Local Authorities Social Services Functions) (England) Order 2011

(1) The Contracting Out (Local Authorities Social Services Functions) (England) Order 2011 is amended as follows.

(2) In article 2 at the end of the definition of “adult social work practice pilot scheme” insert “and includes a scheme which is extended by a local authority pursuant to the letter of the Secretary of State for Health dated 12th October 2012” .

(3) In article 4(2) for “Community Care Services: Disabled People’s Choice and Control (Pilot Scheme) (England) Directions 2010 (“the 2010 Directions ”)” substitute “Community Care Services: Disabled People’s Choice and Control (Pilot Scheme) (England) Directions 2012 (“the 2012 Directions ”)” .

(4) In article 4(3)(a) for “2010” substitute “2012”.
