(1) This Order may be cited as the Newark and Sherwood (Electoral Changes) Order 2016.
(2) This Order comes into forceβ
(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which it is made;
(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2019.

The Newark and Sherwood (Electoral Changes) Order 2016 (S.I. 2016/855)
This Order gives effect to recommendations made by Newark and Sherwood District Council to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England for related alterations of district ward boundaries. These alterations are related to parish boundary changes made by the Newark and Sherwood District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014.

In this Orderβ
βdistrict wardβ means a district ward established by article 3 of the Newark and Sherwood (Electoral Changes) Order 2014 ;
βthe mapβ means the map marked βMap referred to in the Newark and Sherwood District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014β, held by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England .
(1) The area marked βArea Aβ on the map ceases to be part of the Newark Beacon district ward and becomes part of the Balderton North & Coddington district ward.
(2) The area marked βArea Eβ on the map ceases to be part of the Newark Castle district ward and becomes a part of the Farndon & Fernwood district ward.
