(1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2005 and comes into force on 1 April 2005.
(2) This Order applies to Wales only.

The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/583 (W.))
This Order amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (βthe 1978 Orderβ), S.I. 1978/32 and revokes earlier amendment Orders. It substitutes for Schedules 1 and 2 to the 1978 Order the Schedules set out in this Order. Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the National Assembly for Wales and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which, although no longer approved, can continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 30 June 2005.

(1) The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (βthe 1978 Order β) is amended in relation to Wales in accordance with 'the following provisions of this article.
(2) In paragraph (2) of article 6 of the 1978 Order (which specifies the date until which disinfectants subject to transitional provisions remain approved), for β31st August 2003β there is substituted β30 June 2005β.
(3) For Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order (which lists approved disinfectants) there is substituted Schedule 1 to this Order.
(4) For Schedule 2 to the 1978 Order (which lists disinfectants subject to transitional provisions) there is substituted Schedule 2 to this Order.
The following are revoked β
(a) Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2001 ;
(b) The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment)Order 1999 to the extent that it relates to Wales.
