(1) The title of this Order is the Fire and Rescue Services (National Framework) (Wales) Order 2008 and it comes into force on 22 September 2008.
(2) This Order applies in relation to Wales.

The Fire and Rescue Services (National Framework) (Wales) Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/2298 (W.))
Section 21 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 (βthe Actβ) requires the Welsh Ministers to prepare a Fire and Rescue National Framework (βFrameworkβ), which must set out priorities and objectives for Fire and Rescue Authorities and may provide guidance. Fire and Rescue Authorities must have regard to the Framework in carrying out their functions.
