The Preserved Counties of Powys and Mid Glamorgan (Changes in Area) Order 2010 (S.I. 2010/48 (W.))

Section 20 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as substituted by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994) (β€œthe 1994 Act”) provides that the counties in Wales as they existed immediately before the passing of the 1994 Act will continue in existence for certain purposes. They are called β€œpreserved counties”.
