(1) The title of this Order is the Partnership Council for Wales (Local Health Boards and National Health Service Trusts) Order 2012.
(2) This Order comes into force on 3 April 2012.

The Partnership Council for Wales (Local Health Boards and National Health Service Trusts) Order 2012 (S.I. 2012/746 (W.))
This Order specifies Local Health Boards and National Health Service Trusts in Wales as local authorities for the purposes of section 72(5) of the Government of Wales Act 2006. This has the effect of enabling Welsh Ministers to appoint members of Local Health Boards and National Health Service Trusts in Wales as members of the Partnership Council for Wales, established under section 72 of the Government of Wales Act 2006.

In this Orderβ
βLocal Health Boardsβ (β Byrddau Iechyd Lleol β) means the Local Health Boards established under section 11 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 ; and
βNational Health Service Trustsβ (β Ymddiriedolaethau'r Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol β) means the National Health Service Trusts established under section 18 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 .
Local Health Boards and National Health Service Trusts are specified as local authorities for the purposes of section 72 of the Government of Wales Act 2006.
