art 2 Annuity to be paid to the Right Honourable Ivan Neill
(1) An annuity of £2,260 shall, subject to paragraph (4), be paid to the Right Honourable Ivan Neill during his life, beginning on Ist April 1973. (2) The annuity shall be charged on the Consolidated Fund and shall be paid out of that Fund in such instalments and at such times as the Ministry of Finance may determine. (3) The annuity shall be in lieu of any annual sum by way of pension which, but for this provision, would have been payable to the Right Honourable Ivan Neill under section 1 of the Ministerial Offices Act (Northern Ireland) (a) 1972 c. 22. (p) 1954 c. 33 (NI). 1952 (a) (pensions payable to persons who have been Ministers of Northern Ireland or holders of other Ministerial offices). (4) Subject to paragraph (5), subsection (6) of section | of the Ministerial Offices Act (Northern Ireland) 1952 (abatement of pension where emoluments are payable in respect of service in public office, etc.) shall have effect for the purposes of this Article as it has effect for the purposes of that section, but as if for the references to a pension payable under that section there were substituted references to an annuity payable under this Article. (5) In the said subsection (6), as it has effect for the purposes of this Article, any reference to an emolument shall not include a reference to a pension payable under Part II of the Ministerial Salaries and Members’ Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 1965 (b) (Members’ contributory pension scheme).
