s 134 Provision of housing accommodation in Isles of Scilly
(1) Without prejudice to his powers under section two hundred and ninety-two of the Local Government Act, 1933, the Minister may, upon the application of the council of the Isles of Scilly, by order confer or impose upon that council such functions relating to the provision of housing accommodation in the Isles of Scilly as the Minister thinks appropriate. (2) An order made under this section may provide for the making by the Minister and by the said council of contributions in respect of houses provided in pursuance of such an order. (3) An order made under this section may contain such incidental and consequential provisions, including provisions conferring powers or imposing duties on the said council, as the Minister thinks necessary. (4) An order made under this section may be revoked or varied by a subsequent order made by the Minister whether or not on the application by the said council. (5) The power of making orders under this section shall be exercisable by statutory instrument which shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
