(1) This Act may be cited as the Iron and Steel Act 1981. (2) In this . Act— ‘the Corporation ” means the British Steel Corporation ; “financial year 1980-81” means the financial year of the Corporation ending in 1981 (that is, on 28th March 1981) ; and “ the 1975 Act ” means the Iron and Steel Act 1975. (3) The enactments specified in Schedule 2 to this Act (which include a spent enactment) are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule. (4) This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland ; but this provision shall not be taken to prejudice the capacity of the Corporation under section 3 of the 1975 Act.
