s 104 Local housing authorities.
(1) In this Act “ local housing authority ”— (a) in relation to England and Wales, has the meaning given by section 1 of the Housing Act 1985, and (b) in relation to Scotland, means a council constituted under section 2 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 . (2) References in this Act to the district of a local housing authority— (a) in England and Wales shall be construed in accordance with section 2 of the Housing Act 1985, and (b) in Scotland are to the area of a council mentioned in subsection (1)(b) above .
