In section 36(2) of the Highways Act 1980 (general definition of highways maintainable at the public expense), in paragraph (b) (highways constructed by local authorities under housing powers)— (a) for “Part V of the Housing Act 1957” substitute “Part II of the Housing Act 1985”; (b) for “the said Part V”, in each place where it occurs, substitute “the said Part II”.
