s 33 Short title, commencement and extent.
(1) This Act may be cited as the Pilotage Act 1987. (2) Subject to subsection (3) below, the provisions of this Act . . .shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order appoint and different days may be appointed for different provisions or for different purposes. (3) The day appointed under subsection (2) above for the coming into force of Part 1 of this Act shall be not less than nine months after the passing of this Act. (4) This Act extends to Northern Ireland.
