Terrorism Act 2000 s 69

s 69 Maximum period of remand in custody.

(1) The period for which a person charged with a scheduled offence may be remanded in custody by a magistrates’ court shall be a period of not more than 28 days beginning with the day following that on which he is remanded. (2) Subsection (1) has effect— (a) notwithstanding Article 47(2) . . . of the Magistrates’ Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981, and (b) whether or not a person is also charged with a non-scheduled offence.
