In this Schedule— “ the 1983 Act ” means the Representation of the People Act 1983; “ candidate ” means a person who stands nominated as a candidate at the election; “ the election ” means the first election of the Mayor; “ election address ” shall be construed in accordance with paragraph 2 below; “ election booklet ” shall be construed in accordance with paragraph 6 below; “ the GLRO ” means the Greater London returning officer; “ print ” means print by whatever means (and “ printer ” shall be construed accordingly); “ the relevant provisions ” means the provisions of section 17A(1) of this Act and this Schedule.
