(1) The Courts Act 1971 (c. 23) is amended as follows. (2) In section 16(3) (Circuit judges), for paragraph (a) substitute— (a) he satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 7-year basis; (3) In section 21(2) (recorders), for the words from “he has a 10 year” to the end substitute “ he satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 7-year basis. ” (4) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
