In a case within paragraph 21(1)(a), the licensing authority's approval under paragraph 27 or 28 remains effective only if the investor acquires the notifiable interest— (a) before the end of such period as may be specified in the notice under paragraph 27(2) or 28(7), or (b) if no such period is specified, before the end of the period of one year beginning with the date of that notice.
