s 58 Interpretation of Part

(1) In this Part “ immigration officer ” means a person appointed by the Secretary of State as an immigration officer under paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Immigration Act 1971. (2) In this Part “ premises ” and “ item subject to legal privilege ” have the same meaning— (a) in relation to England and Wales, as in the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984; (b) in relation to Northern Ireland, as in the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 (SI 1989/1341 (NI 12)); (c) in relation to Scotland, as in section 412 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
