s 6 Duties to help to secure accommodation
In section 205 of the Housing Act 1996 (discharge of functions: introductory), after subsection (2) insert— (3) For the purposes of this section, a local housing authority's duty under section 189B(2) or 195(2) is a function of the authority to secure that accommodation is available for the occupation of a person only if the authority decide to discharge the duty by securing that accommodation is so available.
