s 27 Amendment of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001
(1) The Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 is amended as follows. (2) In section 57(1) (retention of seized items), after paragraph (x) (inserted by the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025) insert— (y) section 24 (9) to (16) of the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025. (3) In Part 1 of Schedule 1 (powers of seizure to which section 50 of the Act applies), after paragraph 73X (inserted by the Football Governance Act 2025) insert— Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025 (73Y) The power of seizure conferred by section 24 (1) of the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025. (4) In Part 2 of Schedule 1 (powers of seizure to which section 51 of the Act applies), after paragraph 83B insert— Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025 (83C) The power of seizure conferred by section 24 (1) of the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025. (5) In Part 3 of Schedule 1 (powers of seizure to which section 55 of the Act applies), after paragraph 114 insert— Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025 (115) The power of seizure conferred by section 24 (1) of the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025.
