reg 9 Further power of inspector to hold pre-inquiry meetings

(1) Where no pre-inquiry meeting is held pursuant to rule 6, an inspector may hold one if he thinks it necessary. (2) An inspector shall give not less than 2 weeks written notice of a pre-inquiry meeting he proposes to hold under paragraph (1) to— (a) the appellant; (b) the local planning authority; (c) any person known at the date of the notice to be entitled to appear at the inquiry; and (d) any other person whose presence at the pre-inquiry meeting appears to him to be desirable. (3) Rule 11(6) shall apply to a pre-inquiry meeting held under this rule.
