art 3 Consequential amendments
(1) The Education Act 1996 is amended as follows. (2) In section 507B(12), for “the Secretary of State” substitute “the Minister for the Cabinet Office”. (3) The references in the following provisions to the Secretary of State are to be read, so far as is necessary for the purposes of or in consequence of article 2, as references to the Minister for the Cabinet Office— (a) section 496(1); (b) section 497(1) and (3); (c) section 497A(2) to (4B), (6) and (7); (d) section 497AA; (e) section 497B(1) and (1A) ; (f) section 570(1) and (2) ; (g) section 571.
