art 9 Maximum recoverable amount for expenses at a contested Assembly regional election held on the same day as the Alternative Vote Referendum
(1) The total of the charges recoverable by a regional returning officer at a contested Assembly regional election held on the same day as the Alternative Vote Referendum in respect of the expenses of the description specified in paragraph (2) must not exceed the amount listed for each Assembly electoral region in column 3 of the table in Schedule 2. (2) The expenses are— (a) appointment and payment of fees to persons who assist the regional returning officer; (b) reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses incurred by any person appointed to assist the regional returning officer and the regional returning officer; (c) printing and publishing of notices; (d) preparing the ballot paper; (e) the costs of miscellaneous items not accounted for elsewhere such as stationery, postage, telephone, printing and translation.
