Article 1

The concentration by way of the creation of a joint venture as notified by Norsk Telekom AS, TeleDanmark AS and Industriförvaltnings AB Kinnevik is hereby declared incompatible with the common market and the functioning of the EEA Agreement.

(5) The SMATV segment consists of entities receiving the TV signals using a satellite master antenna and retransmitting the signal within a smaller network. Normally the SMATV operators have no system for operating pay-TV and, if they do, it is carried in the network on the basis of collective payment from all residents. The SMATV operators will rarely contract directly with the broadcasters, but will normally be customers of local cable operators.
