Article 1

The Agreement between the European Union and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on the activities of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is hereby approved on behalf of the European Union. The text of the Agreement is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person empowered to sign the Agreement in order to bind the European Union.

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal. It shall take effect on the day of its publication. Done at Luxembourg, 9 April 2001. For the Council The President A. Lindh (1) OJ L 328, 31.12.2000, p. 53.
