Article 3

Articles 17(4) and 18(2) of Annex III to the Agreement are hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of Annex II to this Protocol.

Article 4

Appendix III of Annex III to the Agreement shall be replaced by Annex III to this Protocol.

Article 5

Appendix IV toAnnex III to the Agreement shall be replaced by Annex IV to this Protocol.

Article 6

1.   The provisions of the Agreement shall be applied to goods exported from either Chile to one of the new Member States or from one of the new Member States to Chile, which comply with the provisions of Annex III to the Agreement and that on the date of accession are either en route or in temporary storage, in a customs warehouse or in a free zone in Chile or in such new Member State. 2.   Preferential treatment shall be granted in such cases, subject to the submission to the customs authorities of the importing country, within four months of the date of accession, of a proof of origin issued retrospectively by the customs authorities or competent governmental authority of the exporting country.
