Article 27–Article 326 provisions

Transposition

Article 27

1.   Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive by 16 November 2015. 2.   When Member States adopt those provisions they shall contain a reference to this Directive or be accompanied by such a reference on the occasion of their official publication. Member States shall determine how such a reference is to be made.

Provision of data and statistics

Article 28

Member States shall, by 16 November 2017 and every three years thereafter, communicate to the Commission available data showing how victims have accessed the rights set out in this Directive.

Report

Article 29

The Commission shall, by 16 November 2017, submit a report to the European Parliament and to the Council, assessing the extent to which the Member States have taken the necessary measures in order to comply with this Directive, including a description of action taken under Articles 8, 9 and 23, accompanied, if necessary, by legislative proposals.

Replacement of Framework Decision 2001/220/JHA

Article 30

Framework Decision 2001/220/JHA is hereby replaced in relation to Member States participating in the adoption of this Directive, without prejudice to the obligations of the Member States relating to the time limits for transposition into national law. In relation to Member States participating in the adoption of this Directive, references to that Framework Decision shall be construed as references to this Directive.

Entry into force

Article 31

This Directive shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

Addressees

Article 32

This Directive is addressed to the Member States in accordance with the Treaties.
