2014/257/EU: Council Decision of 14 March 2014 on the signing, on behalf of the European Union and its Member States, and provisional application of the Additional Protocol to the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Korea, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union

Article 1

The signing, on behalf of the Union and its Member States, of the Additional Protocol to the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Korea, of the other part, to take account of the accession of Croatia to the European Union is hereby authorised, subject to the conclusion of the Additional Protocol.

The text of the Additional Protocol is attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person(s) empowered to sign the Additional Protocol on behalf of the Union and its Member States and to proceed, on behalf of the Union and its Member States, to give the notifications referred to in Article 9 of the Additional Protocol regarding completion of the internal procedures for signature and provisional application.

Article 3

The Additional Protocol shall be applied on a provisional basis with effect from 1 July 2013, in accordance with Article 9(2) and (3) thereof, pending the completion of the procedures for its conclusion.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
