General requirements concerning official inspections
Article 30
1. Official inspections shall consist of visual inspections, and, where appropriate, of sampling and testing. 2. During the official inspections, the responsible official body shall pay particular attention to: (a) the suitability and actual use of methods by the supplier for checking each of the critical points in the production process; (b) the overall competence of the supplier's staff to carry out the activities set out in Article 6(1) of Directive 2008/90/EC. 3. Member States shall ensure that the responsible official bodies produce and keep records of the results and dates of all field inspections, sampling and testing carried out by them.
