Article 1
The Annex to Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

ANNEX In the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 231/2012, in the entry for βE 243 Ethyl lauroyl arginateβ the definition is replaced by the following: β Definition Ethyl lauroyl arginate is synthesized by esterifying arginine with ethanol, followed by reacting the ester with lauroyl chloride, in aqueous media at a controlled temperature between 10 and 15Β Β°C and at a pH between 6,7 and 6,9. The resultant ethyl lauroyl arginate is recovered as the hydrochloride salt, which is filtered and dried.β
