Article 1

Annex IV to Regulation (EU) No 576/2013 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

In Annex IV to Regulation (EU) No 576/2013, point 2(c) is replaced by the following:

‘(c)

must be performed in one of the following:

(i)

an official laboratory, in a Member State or in a third country that is a Contracting Party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, designated in accordance with Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council  ( *1 ) for the performance of the rabies antibody titration test and for which the competent authority has provided to the Commission its name and contact details; or

(ii)

a laboratory in a third country or territory listed in Annex VIII to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/404  ( *2 ) , designated by the competent authority of the third country meeting the requirements laid down in Article 37(4) and (5) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 for the performance of the rabies antibody titration test and for which the competent authority has provided to the Commission its name and contact details.
